Cape Cod Fentanyl Traffickers Arrested: Police

Yarmouth police said they arrested Nicholas Valeri and Ivy Wallace and seized hundred of deadly doses of fentanyl.

YARMOUTH, MA — A pair of fentanyl traffickers were arrested in Yarmouth this week and officers seized 21 grams of the deadly opiate in a significant bust, according to police. Nicholas Valeri, 22, and Ivy Wallace, 25, of Yarmouth, were charged with a host of drug crimes. The amount of fentanyl police said they seized equates to hundreds of lethal doses; as little as 3 milligrams of fentanyl can kill an adult, according to authorities.

Valeria and Wallace were arrested Tuesday at their Ivanhoe Avenue residence during a police raid. The pair are "well-known" to Cape Cod law enforcement, police said. Officers said they found the following items at the residence:

  • Suboxone strips
  • Trazodone pills
  • Methadone pills
  • Gabapentin pills
  • Clonidine pills
  • Sandwich bags
  • Digitial scales
  • $3,336 in cash
  • A video surveillance system
  • Cell phones

The pair were each charged with trafficking fentanyl and six counts of drug possession. Valeria was held on $5,000 bail; Wallace was held on $500, according to police.
