Cape Cod Girl, 3, Shoots Herself With Father's Gun: Police
A 3-year-old Yarmouth girl shot herself in the hand with her father's .40-caliber pistol, police said.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod father is facing multiple charges after police said his 3-year-old daughter shot herself with his gun. The girl got hold of a .40-caliber handgun and shot herself in the hand, police said. She was hospitalized and expected to survive.
Police said they will charge her father, Nicholas Jenner, 30, with several crimes because the gun was not secured and he was not authorized to possess the gun in the first place.
Police said the child grabbed the gun from a nightstand in the bedroom she shares with her parents.
