Cape Cod High School Staffer Charged With Child Rape, Out On Bail

A Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School staffer is on leave from the school following the charges. The next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14.

YARMOUTH, MA — A special education assistant at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School was recently charged with the rape of a child. Yarmouth police said there is no connection between the investigation and the high school, but the educator is on administrative leave from the school.

Daniel A. Robles, of West Yarmouth, was arrested on Nov. 7 around 10 a.m. He is charged with indecent assault and battery of a child under 14 and the rape of a child, police said.

Police noted that the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be sought.

They also added that, at the time of the charges, "there is no connection between the investigation and Robles’ place of employment."

"Robles is a staff member at the Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School. Upon learning of the arrest, School Administrators immediately placed Robles on administrative leave," police said.

According to a report in the Cape Cod Times, Robles was released on $7,500 cash bail at a hearing in Barnstable District Court. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14.
