Cape Cod Man Charged With Cocaine, Fentanyl Possession
The Hyannis man police believe to have been supplying drugs to the Hyannis Main Street area is being held without bail, police said.
HYANNIS, MA — Barnstable police have filed charges against a Cape Cod man they believe was supplying narcotics to the east end of Main Street Hyannis.
Edgardo Ortiz, 42, of Hyannis, was identified over the last several months as someone police believe was a supplier of narcotics in that area.
On Oct. 30, members of the Barnstable Police Community Impact Unit and Patrol Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ortiz for operating on a suspended license.

Ortiz was taken into custody on motor vehicle charges, however, it was discovered he had over 100 grams of cocaine and 18 grams of fentanyl in his possession at the time of his arrest.
He was arraigned on the above charges on Oct. 31 at Barnstable District Court where he was ordered held on dangerousness and his bail was revoked on a previous case.
