Cape Cod Man Charged With Second OUI

The 53-year-old was stopped for driving erratically on Rt. 28 Tuesday afternoon, police said.

YARMOUTH, MA – Police have charged a Cape Cod man with his second drunken driving offense following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon. Officers pulled over 53-year-old Dennis resident Mark Reed around 2:40 p.m. for driving erratically on Rt. 28, according to a Yarmouth police statement.

"The driver smelled of alcoholic beverages, admitted to drinking, had a hard time maintaining his balance and failed all of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests," police said.

Reed was charged with operating under the influence of liquor - second offense, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger and a marked lanes violation. He was arraigned Wednesday in Barnstable District Court.
