Cape Cod Man Facing Domestic Violence Charges In 'Violent' Attack
Police said the attacker has a "long and violent criminal history here in Massachusetts and in other states."
YARMOUTH, MA — A man was arrested following a "violent" attack on a woman on Cape Cod Thursday afternoon, police said. The attack happened at a home in Yarmouth, and the woman later reported it to the Barnstable Police Department, according to police.
The suspect was tracked down and arrested in Yarmouth. Police said the woman suffered "physical and emotional injuries."
Due to Massachusetts law regarding domestic violence, the attacker cannot be identified, according to police. He was charged with felony assault and battery intimate relationship (subsequent offense), two counts of felony assault and battery while armed with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, threatening to commit a crime and stalking.

The suspect was held without bail and has a "long and violent criminal history here in Massachusetts and in other states," police said.
