Cape Cod Man Indicted On Child Porn Charges
Federal authorities said hundreds of images and videos of children were found on the 30-year-old's hard drive.
MARSTONS MILLS, MA – A federal grand jury indicted a Marstons Mills man on child porn charges Thursday, according to the U.S. Attorney's office. Steven Carme, 30, was indicted on one count of distribution of child pornography, one count of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor and a minor who had not attained 12 years of age.
Carme was arrested earlier this month after federal authorities learned an IP address traced to his Marstons Mills home shared child porn over the internet using peer-to-peer sharing software, the USAO said. Carme's laptop, an external hard drive and an iPhone X were seized during a search of his home, and authorities found hundreds of images and videos of children, according to the USAO.
Some of the images and videos depicted the rape of children as young as five years old, the USAO said in a previous statement.
