Cape Cod Man Will Serve Prison Time For Aggravated Rape Of A Child

A Provincetown man was sentenced to at least a decade in state prison for a 2020 rape in Truro. The victim was 15 at the time.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A Provincetown man will serve at least a decade in state prison after being found guilty on aggravated rape of a child charges.

The Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced on July 14 that Ronnie Walker, 57, of Provincetown, was found guilty on the charge after a four-day jury trial in Barnstable Superior Court.

He will serve 10 to 12 years in state prison, the DA said.

The rape occurred at a residence in Truro in 2020, the DA said. The victim was 15-years-old at the time.

The case was investigated by the Truro Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jessica M. Croker.
