Cape Cod Men Caught With Fentanyl, Other Drugs: PD

The men told police they had just "shot up" in a car at the beach early Friday morning.

YARMOUTH, MA – A pair of Cape Cod men face drug charges after getting confronted by officers and admitting they had just "shot up," police said. Police investigated a Honda Civic parked at Thatcher Shore Park Beach in South Yarmouth around 2 a.m. Friday and found the two men inside.

Officers found pills, heroin/fentanyl, dozens of hypodermic needles, a blue rubber tie-offs on each floor board, a gold bottle cap with a wire attached and used clear baggies, police said.

Nathan Norsworthy, 30, of Dennis, was charged with possession of a Class A drug (fentanyl) and two counts of possession of a Class C drug. Matthew Mello, 24, of Dennisport, was charged with conspiracy to violate Massachusetts drug laws and possession of a Class A drug (fentanyl).
