Cape Cod Officer Praised For Helping Hurt Boy At Baseball Game
Read the heartfelt thank you note the boy's mother wrote to the police officer.

YARMOUTH, MA – A Yarmouth police officer is being celebrated for helping an injured boy at a baseball game. Officer Nick Giammarco came to the aid of a boy named Drew who fell down at a recent Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox game.
Giammarco washed out Drew's head wound and put pressure on it with paper towels, according to Boston 25. For his bravery, Drew was given a flag pin and a fly ball that landed near Giammarco later in the game.
Drew's mother, Mary Jones, sent Giammarco a card and two St. Michael Prayer Coins to thank the officer for helping her son and spending time with him.

Read Jones's heartfelt note below:
Officer Giammarco,
Thank you so much for the kindness you showed my son, Drew, at the Y-D Red Sox game the other night.
I’m a single mother who works full time in Boston for the Army National Guard and Drew spends a majority of his time on the Cape with his grandparents. He loves baseball and idolizes the military, police department and fire department.
The time you spent checking in on him, giving him the flag pin and fly ball made a lasting impression.
Thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart for going above and beyond.
Mary Jones
