Cape Cod Police Officer Rescues Baby Owl From Road: VIDEO
The owl is being treated by Wild Care Cape Cod after the early morning rescue on Monday, according to police.
ORLEANS, MA — Orleans police officer John Marsinelli had a rather unusual task to complete around midnight on Monday morning.
Marsinelli came across a baby owl in the road with what police said were "apparent wing injuries."
Video included below shows Marsinelli gently caring for the owl while removing it from the road. According to police, the owl is now with Eastham rehabilitation facility Wild Care Cape Cod.
