Cape Cod Stop & Shop Thief Wanted: Police

Sandwich police said anyone who recognizes this Stop & Shop theft suspect should contact them at 508-833-8007.

SANDWICH, MA — Sandwich police are asking the public's help identifying a thief accused of hitting the town's Stop & Shop store this month. Police said the suspect pictured entered the store on July 6 and approached a worker with $100 bill and asked to have them changed to smaller denominations.

"As the cashier is making change the subject, after receiving the money, changed her requested denominations several times," Sandwich police said in a statement. "While doing so she would palm some of the bills."
