Cape Cod's First Target Gets Opening Date
The new Target store in the Cape Cod Mall will hire 150 workers.

HYANNIS, MA — Target has begun the process of hiring nearly 150 workers for its first location on Cape Cod. The retail chain's "small-format" store at the Cape Cod Mall is set to open Oct. 20. Small-format stores have been developed in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses — areas too small for a full-size Target.
"We look forward to building a local team of talented team members who will help us serve the residents and visitors of the Cape Cod community," Daron Halloway, store director at Target, said in a statement. "We are excited to grow our team while providing them meaningful opportunities to build and develop valuable career skills."
Target will host hiring events Sept. 9-11 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cape Cod Mall at 769 Iyannough Rd. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply at Target.com/careers ahead of time. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
