Cape Man Charged With Possessing Child Pornography
A Cape man was caught with dozens of files on his computer containing child pornography, according to federal prosecutors.
BOSTON — A Provincetown man was arrested after police said they discovered dozens of files containing child pornography on his laptop. Kerry Adams, 59, was charged in federal court with receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
According to court documents, police got a warrant and searched Adam's home, laptops, thumb drives and SD cards. Hundreds of files were search, dozens of those files contained videos of preteen boys engaging in sexual acts, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said Adams denied downloading child pornography, but later admitted he has searched the term "teen boy." He also denied there would be pornography of 10 to 14-year-old boys on his computer. But Adams later told police 13-15 year-old-boys were once of sexual interest to him but are not anymore, according to court documents.

Adams was held pending a detention hearing scheduled for Oct. 22. If convicted, he faces a potential five to 20-year prison sentence.
