Cape Man Faces Child Pornography Indictment
Kerry Adams, 59, of Provincetown, was accused of possessing dozens of files containing child pornography on his computer.
BARNSTABLE, MA — A Provincetown man was indicted in federal court after prosecutors said police found dozens of files containing child pornography on his laptop. Kerry Adams, 59, was charged with receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. Adams was arrested October 18, 2018, and has been in federal custody since.
According to court documents, police got a warrant and searched Adam's home, laptops, thumb drives and SD cards. Hundreds of files were searched and at least a dozen of those files contained files contained child pornography.
Prosecutors said three of the files were videos of pre-pubescent boys engaging in sexual acts. Police obtained the files through a peer-to-peer computer program and found the files were previously downloaded from Adam's IP address, according to court documents.
