Cape Man Seriously Injured After Crashing Stolen Dump Truck: MSP

State Police said the truck was reported stolen by a pool company in Yarmouth.

YARMOUTH, MA — A man was seriously injured after State Police said he crashed a stolen dump truck off a Cape Cod overpass Friday.

Around 6 a.m., state troopers were called to a crash on Route 6 westbound in Yarmouth and found a Chevrolet C65 dump truck that went off the road and landed on train tracks below. State Police said the truck was reported stolen by a pool company in Yarmouth.

A 36-year-old West Yarmouth man was airlifted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston with serious injuries. State Police have not released his identity.

Charges are expected to be filed against the man.
