Cape Man Who Went Missing In Blizzard Found Dead
Jean Paul Morancy, 56, was found along a fence near an unoccupied home wearing only a t-shirt and shorts, police said.
YARMOUTH, MA — A South Yarmouth man who went missing in last weekend's blizzard was found dead Friday, according to police.
Police received a call that someone found a body around 1:15 p.m., Friday. Yarmouth police identified the man as Jean Paul Morancy, 56. He was found along a fence near an unoccupied home wearing only a t-shirt and shorts, police said.
Police said Morancy was reported missing around 2:50 p.m., Jan. 29. He was last seen around midnight, Saturday. The people that reported him missing didn't realize he was missing until morning. They tried to call his cell phone, but could not reach him, police said.

"The timeline from when Morancy was last seen to when he was reported missing was over 14 hours," Yarmouth police said in a statement. "Due to blizzard conditions, the area around Morancy’s residence was covered in snow and no tracks were located indicating a possible route of travel. Attempts to locate Morancy’s phone also yielded negative results."
Yarmouth police said they teamed up with Massachusetts State Police to investigate the cause of Morancy's death.
