Cape’s County Government Spending Rate Is Fiscally Unsustainable

At this time, it is my viewpoint that for its size and purpose, Barnstable County Government now spends too much money on an annual basis, and has too many persons making a six figure salary.

At the present rate, it is fiscally unsustainable.

This is my basic assessment of the situation and problem.

The best course of action for now is to make prudent cuts to the Proposed FY’21 County Budget, and level fund it with no expansion in spending over the previous Fiscal Year.
