Car Crashes Over Dunes, Lands On Cape Cod Beach

BREWSTER, MA — Two people suffered serious injuries when the car they were driving ran through a fence, then went over the dunes at Breakwater Beach Landing in Brewster early Monday morning, Brewster Fire Department officials said.

Officials arrived at the beach after 1 a.m. on Monday morning. There, they found that a car was driven "through a split rail fence and over the dune eventually coming to rest in a vertical position on the beach."

Firefighters and police officers were able to remove the driver and passenger from the car. They were transferred to Cape Cod Hospital, with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries, officials said.
