Child Dies In Machine Equipment Accident On Cape Cod
Officials said the child was struck by a piece of machinery Saturday afternoon.
HARWICH, MA – A child was fatally struck by a piece of machine equipment Saturday on Cape Cod. The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on Main Street in North Harwich, according to the Harwich Fire Department.
The boy was critically injured after getting hit by a small skid steer loader. He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital but did not survive, Harwich fire officials said.
"Evidence suggests the death was a tragic accident," Massachusetts State Police said in a statement Sunday.
