Citations Issued For Driver That Hit Cape Cod Police Officer With Car
Yarmouth traffic safety officer Sean Ryan is in stable condition at a Boston hospital, where he's receiving treatment for injuries.
YARMOUTH, MA — A Yarmouth man was issued citations for the crash that sent a Cape Cod police officer to the hospital.
Steven Golebiowski, 76, of West Yarmouth, was cited for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violations after he hit a traffic officer with his car in Yarmouth on Tuesday.
Yarmouth Police and fire crews responded to Route 28 near Rosemary Lane after Ryan was struck by a car while working a detail, officials said. The crash closed a stretch of Route 28 "between Giardino's and Timmy's Roast Beef," officials said.

Ryan was in the roadway wearing high-visibility clothing at the time he was struck, officials said. He remains at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, where he is being treated for injuries but is in stable condition.
As for Golebiowski, a request for immediate threat license suspension was filed with the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and Golebiowski’s driver's license has been suspended, police said.
