Coast Guard Rescues Sick Fisherman Off Cape Cod
The 54-year-old was flown to the hospital after he fell ill 42 miles offshore.

NANTUCKET, MA – A fisherman was flown to the hospital Sunday after falling ill off the coast of Cape Cod, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The 54-year-old was airlifted from the fishing boat Generation, which was 42 miles off Nantucket.
The captain reported the ill crew member around 5:20 p.m. An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter flew the man to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The fisherman was in stable condition at the time of the transfer, the Coast Guard said.
