Couple Killed In Cape Cod Fire Identified
The couple met in eighth grade and were "inseparable ever since," according to an obituary.
WELLFLEET, MA – The two people found dead after a house fire on Cape Cod have been identified as a married couple. Ferdinand and Cathleen Kral were killed in a fire at their Lieutenant Island home March 11.
The couple met in eighth grade and were "inseparable ever since," according to Ferdinand Kral's obituary. They were married for 53 years and previously lived in Canton before building their retirement home in Wellfleet.
Firefighters found the blaze at 65 4th St. while investigating a smell of smoke in South Wellfleet in the early morning hours of March 11. After bringing the fire under control, firefighters found the Krals dead inside.

The home was declared a total loss.
The couple is survived by three children and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Visiting hours will be at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St, on Friday, March 22 from 4-8 p.m.
