Crooked Cape Cod Contractor With 91 Priors Wanted: Police

Jeffrey Fregeau is wanted for scamming a Cape Cod family out of $15,000, police said. His criminal record includes 91 charges.

YARMOUTH, MA — Cape Cod police are asking the public's help finding a contractor who allegedly scammed a Yarmouth family out of $15,000. Jeffrey Fregeau, 58, is wanted for larceny. Anyone with information is asked to contact Yarmouth police at 508-775-0445.

Fregeau is an unlicensed builder and has recently done business under "Old Mill Remodeling," police said.

"Fregeau is well-known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement and has a long record with over 91 prior criminal charges in Massachusetts," Yarmouth police said in a statement. "Fregeau has been the subject of several other criminal investigations involving the similar scheme of accepting money for remodeling work and not finishing the jobs in various towns on Cape Cod."

Fregeau's current address and location are unknown. He is 5 feet 9 inches and 180 pounds.
