CUT! Lecture Series: Characters and Costumes

Learn about the important role costumes play in telling a visual story on the silver screen.

Sunday, August 21 from 2:00-3:00 pm

Learn how characters are created for the silver screen with Professor Jennifer Varekamp, costume designer and instructor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Varekamp will explain the cultural and social significance of fashion, highlighting the pivotal role costumes play in telling a visual story on the silver screen through the use of in-depth character analysis of famous actor/costume pairs represented in Heritage’s special exhibit CUT! Costume and the Cinema.

Cost: (includes Museum admission): $15 Members, $30 Non-members
