Dead Minke Whale Found Stranded On Cape Cod Beach
The initial autopsy of the whale revealed injuries caused by entanglement and signs of a possible infection.

DENNIS, MA — A dead minke whale was discovered stranded on a Cape Cod Beach Sunday.
Researchers with the International Fund for Animal Welfare were called to a beach near Sesuit Harbor.
According to the organization, the young whale was found entangled in fishing line that was wrapped around its head and through its mouth. Officials believe this made it difficult for the animal to open its mouth and feed.
