Dennis Fire Temporarily Closes Route 6A

No one was home at the time of the fire, and emergency officials said there were no injuries.

DENNIS, MA — A house fire in the 100th block of Route 6A temporarily closed the street, while firefighters extinguished the flames.

Firefighters arrived at the home around 3 p.m., and saw flames coming out the window, fire officials said. Fire officials said the fire started in the living room, but was quickly knocked down. Officials said the fire did not appear to be suspicious.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and emergency officials said there were no injuries.

Dennis police said Route 6A between Paddocks Path and Sesuit Neck Road was closed, while firefighters battle the flames.

Brewster, Harwich and Yarmouth fire departments helped Dennis fire with the call.
