Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 15

  1. Show Barnstable School's artists some love. Until March 1, the art teachers will be exhibiting artwork at the Barnstable High School Art Gallery in the school's main lobby. The paintings, illustrations, and ceramics on displayed include pieces by Carl Lopes, Frances Johnson, John Sullivan, Abby Fay, Lee Weill, Nancy Miller and Susan Wood. Stop in and take a look as these artists/educators put their passion for creating art at the forefront. 
  2. If you want your kids to do a downward dog, take children ages 4 to 8 to from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for a free workshop teaching various yoga poses with a certified international instructor, Cynthia Starosta. 
  3. Individuals with Parkinson's are encouraged to join the Parkinson's support group at the Senior Center at 1 p.m. Denise Davis, a Physical Therapist whose specialty is movement disorders, will be on hand to answer questions for anyone diagnosed with the disease. 
  4. Get those kids to go! There is a free potty training class at Kiddie Kollege from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cindy Horgan takes the mystery away from successful potty training. Learn about helpful techniques and pitfalls to avoid. Dinner and childcare provided. Please RSVP, more info .
  5. Live music in the piano bar at  with from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
