Driver Killed In Yarmouth Crash
A person was killed when their car struck a tree in South Yarmouth, police said.
YARMOUTH, MA — A person was killed when their car struck a tree in South Yarmouth Thursday morning, according to police. Just before 7:30 a.m., police were called to the 200th block of Old Main Street to respond to the single-car crash.
Witnesses told police the car struck a treet and a utility pole, and the driver was injured. The driver was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, but they did not survive. Police said the victim's identity is being withheld until they can notify the family.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
