Elderly Pedestrian Killed In Cape Hit-And-Run Crash

Police have not identified the 70-year-old victim and have asked for the public's help to do so.

YARMOUTH, MA — A 70-year-old man died after getting struck by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Yarmouth Tuesday, according to police.

Police said the crash happened on Winslow Gray Road between Swan Lake Road and Joshua Baker Road. Around 7:30 a.m., a Yarmouth Department of Natural Resources officer discovered the victim, while on patrol. Yarmouth fire officials pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police have not identified the victim and have asked for the public's help to do so. Police said the man is white, about 6 feet tall and was wearing a red down jacket, blue jeans, a red scarf, a blue hat and dark mittens.
