12th Annual SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run

The Falmouth Recreation Department and The Savings Bank Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI) are pleased to announce that the SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run will take place on Saturday, August 11^th at the track at Falmouth High School in Falmouth.

Registration begins at the track at 2:30 p.m. on race day, with the first race starting at 3:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Helen Kennedy, Director of the Falmouth Recreation Department, at 508.457.2567.

The SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run will feature a series of short distance races for boys and girls ages 2-14, beginning with a 100-yard dash for children five and under, a 200-meter race for six- and seven-year-olds, 400 meters for eight- and nine- year-olds, 800 meters for ten- and eleven-year-olds, and one mile for twelve to fourteen-year-olds.

All registered participants will receive an SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run t-shirt, a medal, and a “fantasy finish line” photo.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the twelfth season of the SBLI Falmouth Recreation Family Fun Run,” said SBLI President and CEO Robert K. Sheridan. “This event has grown tremendously over the past 12 years, and it has been wonderful to see so many familiar faces return to the Cape to compete in this fun, relaxed environment.”

The race, formerly the SBLI Junior Falmouth Road Race, marks the twelfth year that SBLI has sponsored the
children’s event, established with SBLI’s sponsorship of the Falmouth Road Race from 2001-2005.
