Art on Loan

The Art on Loan program, highlighting local artists on the meeting room walls in Barnstable Town Hall, features the works of Joyce Groemmer and Barbara Braman now - January 13.

Barbara and Joyce are longtime friends who use very different mediums to create images that exist somewhere between reality and memory. Joyce uses soft pastel to paint exterior landscapes. Barbara, a digital fine artist, uses her camera and computer to create interior landscapes. Both artists reduce what they see to simple forms and casts of light; capturing not just what our eyes see, but the image that everyone's brain remembers.
