CAPE COD MARITIME HISTORY: FIRST AMERICAN GLOBALIZATION

Join historian David Norlander as he discusses the era of widespread U.S. maritime expansion after the Revolutionary War, including the many ships from Cape Cod and the Islands that sailed from the South Seas to the Arctic Ocean in search of the new bounties of whales and sea otters—commodities that began to shape new global patterns of trade.  This talk is free, but registration is appreciated.
