CLOVER ADAMS: A GILDED AND HEARTBREAKING LIFE

Marian “Clover” Hooper Adams was the granddaughter of Captain William Sturgis and the wife of historian and author Henry Adams.  A Boston Brahmin who moved in the elite social circles of Boston and Washington DC, Clover took up photography just before she turned 40, but her artistic journey was cut tragically short by her suicide three years later.  Join author Natalie Dykstra for a discussion of Adams’ life and photography and a reading from the newly published book, “Clover Adams: A Gilded and Heartbreaking Life.”  This talk is free, but advanced registration is requested.
