Historical walking tour of Marstons Mills village

Prof. Jim Gould will guide us through historical sites in the village of Marstons Mills. The hour-long gentle walk will see the homes of Marstons Mills' sea captains that were featured for seven years in Dr. Gould's walks for Maritime History Week. We will also hear the stories of our Library, of Liberty Hall, the church, the Cash Market, and the first post office. We will learn of the Grist Mill, the fulling mill, and the Marston family for whom the village was named. We'll also visit the herring run and the site of the original elementary school.
