Slide Lecture: Jon Friedman: Portraiture Re-Imagined

Recognized internationally for his distinctive contemporary portraits, Jon Friedman will discuss his unconventional path to portraiture and his unique approach to this art form.

Friedman will also share anecdotes from his experiences working on commissions, including his portrait of Bill and Melinda Gates commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery for its “Twentieth Century Americans” collection.

People are encouraged to bring a “brown bag lunch” to the event.
