Sturgis Library Tours

Tour the oldest library building in the United States! The original building was constructed in 1644 as a meetinghouse for the Reverend John Lothrop. Highlights include the Nehemiah Smith Desk, portraits of Captain William Sturgis and family and the 1605 Lothrop Bible. Tours are at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Self-guided children’s crafts from noon to 3 p.m. Part of History Along Route 6A.
