Tree and barns swallows have migrated to and from Ashumet’s swallow barn since 1948. Until recently, the period of swallow visitation has lasted from mid to late April through the first week in September, but due to climate shifts, we have seen swallows arrive in March over the last few years. Will this be the case this year? Join us as we visit the sanctuaries active vernal pool and observe migrants of many types!
