This comes after Flanagan's ex-employer, the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, accused him of "potential fraudulent use" of tens of thousands of dollars in a complaint against him.

The Boston Globe reported that, in a police report from September, Flanagan was placed on administrative leave from the association, citing inconsistencies with a business account associated with him.

Flanagan had resigned from his role with the association in May.

The Flanagan campaign had been in hot water before. He was fined $15,000 in 2024 after officials found he created an alias to hide his involvement in a mailer campaign called "Conservatives for Dennis."
