Fire Causes $500K In Damages To Barnstable Restaurant Building

A fire in the building which houses Barnstable Tuscan Cuisine isn't considered suspicious, but the damages are serious.

BARNSTABLE, MA — Barnstable and other nearby fire departments extinguished an early morning fire on Wednesday, and are reporting expensive damages to the building which houses a local restaurant.

The department was called to a free at 3176-3180 Main Street around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the address of Barnstable Tuscan Cuisine.

Smoke was seen throughout the building when officials arrived, and other departments were called in to assist with the fire, which was active on all three floors of the building.

No one was injured during the fire, which officials said was extinguished within 38 minutes. Officials said that they don't consider the fire suspicious, but an investigation is ongoing.

It's estimated that the fire caused $500,000 in damage to the restaurant and building.
