GARDENS AGLOW DONATIONS HELP SANDWICH FOOD PANTRY KEEP SMILING
Generous patrons contribute more than 400 toothbrushes and toothpaste to help holiday cause

Heritage Museums & Gardens is pleased to have helped support the Sandwich Food Pantry this holiday season by launching a special toothbrush and toothpaste drive designed to assist families of the Town of Sandwich.
The drive took place during Gardens Aglow, Heritage’s annual holiday celebration of lights and festivities, and garnered an overwhelming support from the community, according to officials.
“We are proud to support the Sandwich Food Pantry alongside our wonderful community during this important season of giving,” said Heritage President & CEO Ellen Spear. “Throughout this vital initiative, families came together to better assist those in need by providing hearty doses of cheer and selflessness. We are grateful to these families, as well as the Town of Sandwich, for their continued support in spreading joy for those less fortunate.”

Donation boxes for the toothbrush and toothpaste drive were set up in the Shop at Heritage at the front entrance of Heritage Museums & Gardens.
The Sandwich Food Pantry currently serves more than 400 families in town, according to Pantry Director Gigi Ridgley. However, Ridgley stresses the need is great for several basic necessities that are infrequently donated and in short supply.

“We are thankful to the staff at Heritage for their dedication in ensuring the needs of our community are met,” Ridgley said. “These wonderful donations will make a tremendous difference in the lives of those we serve on a daily basis.”
