Geographic Response Plan Training At Barnstable Harbor Monday
The training takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and includes the deployment of oil spill response equipment. Normal vessel activity is allowed.

BARNSTABLE, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection will be conducting a Geographic Response Plan training in exercise at Barnstable Harbor on Monday.
The training will run from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and will include training for the Barnstable Harbormaster, Barnstable Natural Resources, Barnstable Fire, West Barnstable Fire, Massachusetts Department of Environment Protection, Moran Environmental Recovery, Nuka Research and Planning Group and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Mariners and local residents should be advised that training will include the deployment of oil spill response equipment. Normal public and commercial vessel operations will be allowed during the training exercise, town officials said.
