Great White Shark Sighting Closes Cape Cod Beach
The same beach closed on Monday after a great white shark came within 75 yards from shore.
ORLEANS, MA — A great white shark was spotted off the coast of a Cape Cod beach, forcing it to close Wednesday morning.
The shark was spotted near Nauset Public Beach in Orleans around 10:05 a.m., town officials said via the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app.
Officials said the beach can reopen for swimming at 11:05 a.m., as long as there is no other reported shark activity. The same beach closed on Monday after a great white shark came within 75 yards from shore.
