Halloween Takes Over Mashpee Commons This Weekend

MASHPEE, MA — Mashpee Commons invites families, friends, and four footed family pets to join in the Halloween festivities on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., with free events for all ages. Activities include a pre-party, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating at participating shops.


Schedule of Events
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Pre-party on the Village Green (near the Mashpee Library) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Stephanie Viva of Lemonadio, with a doggy costume contest hosted by Hot Diggity. Don't miss the special "Thriller" dance performance by the New England Ballet Theater, scheduled at 11:30 a.m. and again at noon.
  • 1 p.m. - The Annual Mashpee Commons Halloween Costume Parade will begin, led by the Mashpee Public School Marching Band. The parade welcomes children, adults, and pets in costume.
  • 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Trick-or-treating at participating shops. Look for the “Trick or Treat Here” posters in shop windows to collect treats from local merchants.

Throughout the day, visitors can also participate in an Instagram Photo Contest. Share a costume photo taken during the day using the hashtag #mashpeecommons for a chance to win one of four $50 gift cards to Mashpee Commons stores.

Please note, road closures will be in effect between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. for the parade. In case of inclement weather, the parade may be canceled, with updates posted on social media.
