Here Are The Patriots' Odds To Beat The Seahawks In Super Bowl LX

The Patriots will look to make history on Sunday by earning a record-breaking seventh Super Bowltitle for an NFL franchise.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Patriots are looking to secure their seventh Lombardi Trophy by winning Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks in Santa Clara, California. The NFL championship will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, New England is a four and a half point underdog against Seattle in the big game, with the line barely moving since it was first made available nearly two weeks ago. This marks the first time the Patriots have not been a favorite this entire postseason, which includes its two home games against the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans, as well as its AFC Championship road game versus the Denver Broncos. However, if Denver’s starting quarterback Bo Nix were able to play in that game, the Pats would have been underdogs.

National media and football pundits seem to agree with Las Vegas oddsmakers, as an overwhelming majority of them have predicted the Seahawks to be victorious, hoisting the trophy at the contest’s conclusion. It is likely to be a close, tough-fought game with both teams having only lost three times all season, and with losses by a slim margin. However, the Patriots do have some factors working in their favor.

The Patriots are the AFC’s number two seed while the Seahawks are the NFC’s number one seed. In the last 13 big game matchups between these two seeds, the second seed has 12 wins and only one loss, both outright and against the betting spread. The sole victory by a top seed among those being the Patriots’ historic 25-point comeback in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons nine years ago. The Patriots also won Super Bowls XXXVI and XXXIX in those same seeding fashions. Pressure on the top seed to perform in the Super Bowl could be a factor as to why they have not had more recent success historically.

Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold played his best career game in the NFC Championship against the Los Angeles Rams two weeks back, as he completed 69 percent of his passes for nearly 350 yards and three touchdowns. The most important stat for Darnold that day, may have been that he did not turn the ball over. While the Seattle signal caller had his second impressive season in a row, he led the entire NFL in turnovers in 2025. During his time with the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers, Darnold struggled mightily against the Patriots, going winless in four tries with one touchdown pass and a whopping nine interceptions. He also had two fumbles. One could argue that the Sam Darnold taking the field this Sunday is a different player than he was back then; however, if there was one team that could make Darnold “see ghosts” again as he did on that fateful Monday night game in 2019, it’s the team with the flying Elvis on the side of its helmet.

Another factor that could be an advantage for the Patriots on Sunday is a key injury to one of Seattle's best young players. Rookie safety Nick Emmanwori suffered an ankle injury during practice on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and has not practiced since. While Head Coach Mike MacDonald said he expects his stud defensive back to play, it is hard to believe he will be operating at full capacity.

New England will look to lean on the Super Bowl experience of Head Coach Mike Vrabel and Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels as quarterback Drake Maye looks to avenge his narrow MVP loss from Thursday night with perhaps a Super Bowl MVP award, something no Patriots fan would have a problem with.
