History Along Route 6A

Enjoy a series of free and low-cost programs and events
presented by cultural organizations and businesses along the Old King's Highway
in Barnstable and Yarmouth Port. Events include walking tours of Yarmouth Port
and MA Audubon’s Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, tours and exhibits at the
Barnstable Historical Society, Captain Bangs Hallet House, Coast Guard Heritage
Museum, Unitarian Church of Barnstable, Yarmouth New Church, the Edward Gorey
House and the Winslow Crocker House, lectures at Sturgis Library, Yarmouth Port
Firehouse 2 and Tales of Cape Cod, live blacksmith demonstrations and a stroll
through the gardens at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.  For more information and up-to-date events
