BARNSTABLE, MA — Just over 13,600 Barnstable voters cast a ballot in the 2020 Super Tuesday primary election, and like the rest of the state, residents put their support behind former Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden carried the Democratic vote in Barnstable with 3,876 votes, or roughly 40.8 percent of the vote. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders finished second with 2,203, which came out to 23.2 percent support. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren finished a distant third in Braintree amassing just 1,399 votes.

On the Republican side, President Donald Trump came out victorious, which was no surprise considering he faces no serious primary challenger.
