The operation was capable of yielding "tens of thousands of dollars" every 8-12 weeks, police said, adding three rooms of the home were used for growing.

"Each room was complete with specialized equipment used for growing marijuana, including air conditioning units, wall fans, air filters, grow lights, dehumidifiers, fertilizers, etc.," police said in a statement. "Numerous harvested marijuana plants were drying from the basement ceiling and extended the length of the basement."

The couple were charged with drug possession, drug manufacturing, and conspiracy.

Police said they investigated the pair over the last month.
