Human Remains Wash Ashore On Cape Cod, Investigation Ongoing
The District Attorney's Office confirmed that partial human remains washed ashore at a popular beach resort over the weekend in Brewster.
BREWSTER, MA — Partial remains washed ashore on a popular Cape Cod beach over the weekend, and the District Attorney's Office is investigating.
On Sept. 24, at approximately 8:45 a.m. a person walking along the shore near Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster discovered partial remains of a human body, Cape and Islands Assistant District Attorney Tara Miltimore said.

Brewster Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives responded to the scene. "Preliminary indications would suggest the body had been in the water for a considerable amount of time," Miltimore said.
The matter remains under investigation by Brewster Police, State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
