Human Skeletal Remains Found In Wareham

Authorities believe the remains were from a man and said they do not know how long the body had been in the woods near the Cranberry Plaza.

WAREHAM, MA — Human skeletal remains were found in the woods near a Wareham shopping plaza, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office. Around noon Monday, police were called to the woods near the Cranberry Plaza off Cranberry Highway after a person looking for a lost item found the body, according to reports.

According to the preliminary investigation, the skeleton appears to be a man. Foul play was not suspected, District Attorney Timothy Cruz said in a statement.

Police told NBC 10 News they do not no how long the body has been there. Officials have not identified the man.
